- BOC-3 - It's a federal filing that assigns legal agents to your company in all 50 states. This is required for your MC Authority and typically costs around $30 to $50 depending on the process agent utilized.
- UCR - UCR or Unified Carrier Registration is needed by any company that operates across state lines. Registration fees start at $45 for motor carriers with one to two vehicles and increase incrementally based on fleet size.
- Clearinghouse - This is an online database that provides access to real-time information about commercial driver's licenses and drug and alcohol program violations. The cost is dependent on the size and needs of your trucking company.
- Drug Consortium - This is a mandatory annual membership for companies with a commercial driver’s license, designed to manage all aspects of mandated drug and alcohol testing. It costs around $120 - $350 per year, some companies charge these fees per driver.
- Pre-Employment drug test - This testing usually costs around $65 - $85 per test.
- Process Driver Files - This service helps to gather, review, and process documents. The cost varies with size and complexity but averages around $120 - $250 per driver. We have a free PDF driver file to do it yourself. Often, others charge over $100 for a PDF that you still have to complete.
- Managed Driver Files - Maintaining driver files can cost $95 to $200 per file, per year, depending on the complexity.
- MVR - Motor Vehicle Reports ensure your drivers are safe and reliable and typically cost around $25 - $45 per report, state-dependent.
- Review IRP & IFTA applications - This service costs around $120 -250 per application if you are hiring someone. We include our consulting for you on this.
- Partner Discount Programs - The cost for this depends on the associated vendors and your trucking company's needs.
What is NOT Included
- Insurance - Trucking insurance costs can range greatly, down payments typically are 15-20% of annual premiums.
- Plates (IRP) - International Registration Plan fees vary by state and vehicle weight, but typically cost around $1000 -$2500 per year.
- IFTA Permit - an International Fuel Tax Permit that ranges from $0-$10.
